Homeless for a month
I was thinking this morning about starting the radio station by going homeless for a month and broadcasting from outside cafe wireless access points with a laptop. Could be dangerous, edgy, attention-seeking, or just a dumb idea.

Track It Down
Came across this site today, trackitdown.net after spending some time on mixmag.net. The cool thing about this site is that it has daily additions of fresh tracks available to download immediately. I'm thinking that it would be fairly easy to do a weekly sift through the new releases during the week, download, scratch on to serato and there's an easy 1 hour segment for the station, def could grow in popularity net wide as well as locally as its an accessible way to get to the latest beats (other radio stations rely on DJs playing vinyl that takes time to import)

Where do you start?
Red and I love radio. We started off with "The Nathan and Red Show" podcasts on the Internet in 2006. Then, when I found out about a local radio station, GoFM, we transferred our show there, broadcasting every, well most, well actually more like every now and then, Saturday mornings, 10-12. That was all well and good, until we realised that no one actually listened. Apart from mum. With all due respect to mum, we wanted to set our sights a little higher. Like nana as well, but she couldn't get us because she doesn't live in Titirangi and GoFM is only a Low Powered FM station with limited range.
The problem with most other radio stations is that they are difficult to get to. Red is in a wheelchair and this makes it difficult to get up the stairs that are inevitably the only way to get to most radio stations in Auckland. So it got him thinking, why don't we just start our own radio station in Kingsland, where we both live.
